Two-time Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip turns 55 today. After running a limited schedule for Dick Bahre in 1985, Waltrip stepped up to the NASCAR Cup level full-time the next year, racing full-time through 2009. He won his first Cup race in 2001, taking his first Daytona victory in his debut with Dale Earnhardt Inc. in his 463rd start. All four of Waltrip’s Cup wins came on superspeedways, but he also won the non-points Winston in 1996 and 11 Grand National races.
